Beschreibung

Over the last 20 years, research on the use of electric mobility has built up an enormous amount of knowledge about possible applications in commercial transport. Nevertheless, only about 2% of the registered vehicles in the EU are electric vehicles. This paper presents the central results from the European research on electric mobility in commercial transport. This is done by a meta-analysis of research studies and is supplemented by results of the international EUFAL project. The paper shows that electric mobility has crossed its threshold to market entry and that the knowledge gained from research projects must now be increasingly transferred and applied in practice combined with a supporting political strategy.
