    Beschreibung

An exploratory case study was conducted to examine in which way patient-focused factors and external factors affect or support descisions on the implementation of electronic health promotion services in elderly peoples´ households. Three social researchers from the Department of Rehabilitation & Integration and from the Department of Sociology respectively, carried out this study, interviewing three groups of participants, namely solitarily, elderly persons, their caregivers and trusted third parties. Data from interviews and from focused ethnographies were audiotaped and transcribed in keeping with qualitative research methods, applying principles of thematic coding as a framework whithin which to analyse data. As a stimulant for discussions and participating observation, purpose-specific artefacts (user terminals) were utilised.
