Abstract
A-IQ Ready (Artificial Intelligence using Quantum measured Information for real-time distributed systems at the edge) promotes development of our society towards the
goals of “Society 5.0”, a society of inclusion in an aging society with benefits for all and reduced need of manual work by use of innovative digital technologies. It follows the patterns of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the European “Green Deal”, mitigating global environmental issues, social inequality and geopolitical changes which pose numerous problems for our society in the future.
A-IQ Ready faces these new challenges by combining advanced AI technologies and their application with novel sensor technologies, such as cutting-edge quantum sensing, edge continuum orchestration of AI and distributed collaborative intelligence of
autonomous agents.
Quantum magnetic flux and gyro sensors enable highest sensitivity and accuracy without any need for calibration, offering unmatched properties when used in combination
with a magnetic field map. Such a localization system will enhance the timing and accuracy of the autonomous agents and reduce false alarms or misinformation by means
of AI and multi-agent system concepts. Use cases explore these concepts in applications of civil safety and security, digital health, smart logistics for supply chains and propulsion use cases:
• Safe Co-existence of Automated and Manual Transport (Humans) at Industrial Sites
• Search And Rescue (SAR) mission in subterranean environments (Tunnel Research Center Erzberg, Austria)
• Digital Health and Emergency recognition for Driver and Operator
• Powertrain Health Monitoring and Availability in safety critical systems
• Standardization activities in the evolving ISO/IEC JTC3 Committee “Quantum Technologies”.
