Abstract

This paper analyzes a sensitivity-based distribution system
model for the centralized and transparent redispatch of
distributed flexibilities that obviates the exchange of entire
distribution models. It allows estimating the impact of
flexibility activations on the loadings, voltages, and active
power flows within the distribution network. The responses
of distribution system controls to flexibility activations are
not properly reflected by the model parameters and must
be provided as inputs. A distribution system with many
renewables is simulated for various cases to analyze the
model’s accuracy for large flexibility activations. On the
one hand, results indicate high accuracy of loading and
active power flow estimations, while on the other hand,
significant errors are observed in the voltage estimation.
