Abstract
The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) establishes new EU cybersecurity requirements to secure hardware and software. It mandates that manufacturers and retailers adhere to cybersecurity standards, protecting digital products throughout their lifecycle.
The regulation addresses two critical issues:
Insufficient cybersecurity measures and infrequent security updates for products.
Limited ability for consumers and businesses to assess a product's cybersecurity.
The CRA ensures a comprehensive European cybersecurity framework, closing existing gaps.
It emphasizes securing IoT and digital products across the supply chain and throughout their lifecycle.
