Abstract
Austria’s transition toward 100 % renewable electricity by 2030, supported by EU REDIII [1] that promote higher renewable energy targets and electrification, along with the increasing adoption of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), presents significant challenges for low-voltage grids. This thesis explores the impact of dynamic electricity grid tariffs on the charging behavior of BEVs, focusing on their role as flexibility providers within households. The analysis examined how different grid tariff structures influence peak load reduction, cost minimization, and demand predictability, three essential objectives for distribution system operators (DSOs), end consumers, and energy suppliers.
