    Abstract

Conclusions: The improved creep properties of the new 9%Cr-steel with boron and cobalt are due to the high microstructural stability that is based on .) strong retardation of coarsening of M23C6 (due to boron) .) solid solution strengthening by Mo and Co .) preserving high dislocation density of the material in the range of minimum creep rate resulting from Mo and Co and an additional precipitation of M23C6 during creep exposure .) stabilisation of the subgrain structure by M23C6 which limit the mean free path of dislocation movement during creep deformation and delay the recovery processes
