Abstract

Electric, Connected, Autonomous and Shared Mobility build together the European approach to mitigate climate change and environmental degradation in the mobility domain, thus fulfilling goals of the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Functional architectures, embedded intelligence and functional virtualization for connected and shared mobility developing and using advanced electronic
components, trustworthy AI for decision making, systems for advanced perception, efficient propulsion and batteries, advanced connectivity, new integration and platform concepts, implemented in use cases (demonstrators).
Important use cases which demonstrate on system integration level cover smart, connected and shared mobility for urban areas on system level, like robo-taxi, virtual city routing optimize transport as an energy-saving smart-city system, as well as virtualization and simulation. On component-based level is electric vehicle development on AI-inside based components and functions (intelligent batteries, intelligent charging,
fault detection, analysis and mitigation, highly automated driving, AI enabled perception and sensor fusion platforms etc.). Federated intelligence across multiple layers of
the sense-control chain to enable resilient component-level cognition is used. A specific work package, which makes the project different, is on evaluation of the achievements towards the “Green Deal” (climate neutrality, zero pollution, sustainable
transport) and of ethical/societal aspects of highly automated systems, as well as involvement in relevant standardization activities.
