Abstract
Abstract
This paper presents the modeling, simulation and evaluation of a powertrain of a hybrid electric all terrain
vehicle in cooperation between Austrian Institute of Technology - AIT and hofer forschungs- und
entwicklungs Gmbh and Co KG. The entire vehicle including hybrid electric powertrain is investigated
using implemented simulation library in the simulation environment Dymola, using Modelica programming
language. The hybrid electric powertrain is founded on a battery powered electric traction and
a transmission including all wheel drive. For the evaluation of the new hybrid electric powertrain all
mechanical and electrical components are measured. The way from measuring and modeling, to optimization
and the choice of the powertrain components to the realization of the hybrid electric powertrain
will be explained
