Abstract
Optical frequency modulation of a distributed low-frequency reference is demonstrated for down-converting FR3-band radio at the remote radio head, showing no penalty to a locally sourced high-frequency carrier. Centralized RF management and simplified synchronization of distributed network equipment are obtained while dispersion-induced fading is mitigated.
