Flow measurement technology, application of practical flow simulation software, experimental, numerical and theoretical treatment of typical applied problems from modeling to problem solving.

The lecture contains:

Elements of Measurement Techniques
One Directional Flow Phenomena
Heat & Fluid Flow Applications
Elements of Fluid Flow Instabilities
Elements of Aerodynamics
To supplement the lecture, excursions to facilities of applied fluid mechanics are offered (for example Vienna Climatic Wind Tunnel, Austrian Institute of Technology, Technical Museum Vienna, shipyard of Austrian Airlines).
