Description
The baroreceptor loos is a global feedback control mechanism using the nervous system to adjust the heart rate and the peripheral resistance in order to maintain the arterial pressure at a given level, with the ultimate goal of regulating the cardiac output. The primary nervous mechanism for the control of cardiac output is the baroreceptor reflex.
