Activity: Talk or presentation / Lecture › Presentation at a scientific conference / workshop
Description
Opposing traditional understandings of researchers as bodiless observers from a distance, we draw on feminist HCI and feminist epistemology to argue for embracing our emotional and corporeal entanglement with our research to approach embodied objectivity, reflect our role as user-researchers, and foster empathy and creativity in design for social justice. Using collaborative reflexivity, we can navigate potential pitfalls and initiate broader discussions on researchers’ values and bodies within scientific contexts.
