Activity: Talk or presentation / LecturePresentation at a scientific conference / workshop

Description

Overview: A new area dosimeter based on LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100) thermoluminescence detectors was developed at the Austrian Research Centers in Seibersdorf for measuring H* (10) in photon radiation fields. After a prototype design phase [1] using a novel combination method of experimental and Monte Carlo simulation techniques [2] the dosemeter is now in its test phase. Dosimetric and practical properties are evaluated and correction methods for various influence quantities are developed and optimised. Additionally, uncertainty estimates of those influence quantities are presented and discussed based on a dosimetric model containing TL readings of two detector cards.
