Description

Starting with trends and driving forces regarding mobility, energy consumption and GHG emissions, students will learn about the principle of Living Labs and the necessary trans- and interdisciplinary research- and implementation approaches on the way to a climate-resilient, sustainable city. Different scientific approaches are discussed and Living Labs are presented in their numerous application fields, starting from Open-Innovation and User Innovation concepts, to Transformation- and Transition-research and Resilience- and Sustainability concepts. In the practical part, students will investigate best practice examples, which will be compiled in groups and jointly evaluated. A technical tour will complete the program.
