Global challenges in the Bioeconomics

A successful participant of the course will understand the common principles and challenges of research at BOKU. He/she will understand the different scientific approaches of the BOKU scientific disciplines to the sustainable use of natural resources, to the definition and management of risk and to the challenges of global change. He/she is able to communicate problems in an interdisciplinary context to persons of different disciplines. He/she is capable to discuss and evaluate her/his research in the controversy between freedom of research, engineering, technology and ethics. The participant will be awarded 4 ECTS points for the completion of the course.
