The role of ICT in mobility applications

Description

The presentation provides an overview about the role of ICT for supporting the development mobility solutions. First an overview about the potential and challenges of data driven research is given and as an approach the real-time mobility data analytics framework is introduced. In the second part related research projects are presented. This includes projects such as FLEET - calculating travel times in real-time based on Floating Car Data (FCD), TROJA - the smart combination of local and global traffic knowledge for future routing services, as well as VORAB - prediction of travel time on highways.
