Research interests

Dr. Daniel Lager, MSc has been working in the field of Thermophysics and Thermal Analysis since 2007 and is head of the associated accredited laboratory at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH since 2019. He received a PhD degree from Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) in 2017 for his dissertation which focuses on thermophysical characterization of heat storage materials, and he has been author and coauthor of numerous publications since 2006. Prior to that, he completed the master's degree in biomedical engineering sciences in 2008 and the diploma degree in electronics at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum-Wien in 2005. Parallel to his work at AIT, he is an external lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. During his professional career, Daniel Lager has also been able to gain experience as a system physicist for a particle accelerator for ion therapy, as a system engineer for data transmission systems in public safety applications, as software developer for damage detection systems and as researcher in the field of on the effect of electromagnetic compatibility.
