Research interests
Lukas Liebmann holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Environmental Systems Science with a specialization in Economics from the University of Graz.
Since June 2023 Lukas is working at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Center for Energy, and participates as a research engineer for integrated energy markets in the Competence Unit "Integrated Energy Systems".
With more than ten years of research practice previously at TU Wien, Energy Economics Group, Lukas has extensive experience in energy policy assessments and scenario analysis with a focus on renewable energy technologies. His research interests include the analysis of regulatory and technological frameworks for the integration of renewable energy technologies, techno-economic assessments of renewable energy technologies, and the design and evaluation of energy policy strategies. Before joining TU Vienna, Lukas conducted research on climate change mitigation at national, subnational and multinational levels at the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change in Graz.
