Research interests

Thomas Lorünser is an experienced researcher, project manager and team leader in AIT’s Center for Digital Safety & Security with a demonstrated history in research and development. He received an MSc and PhD  from the Technical University of Vienna and has a strong background in digitization, telecommunications, security and applied cryptography. During the past 20 years he successfully acquired, managed and contributed to many national and international research projects from medium to large scale. He holds various industry certifications and serves as lecturer for cryptography and cybersecurity.  With his expertise he is also actively contributing to security standards in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO, JTC1/SC27).
