Best Mashup Project

Our hackathon project, awarded "Best Mashup," showcases an innovative workflow integrating Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) into early architectural design to reduce embedded carbon. By pioneering the use of Rhino Grasshopper for rapid design with hand-sketched inputs converted into 3D models, our team enabled architects to assess carbon impact from inception. The project connected with the 2050 Materials LCA API for real-time material carbon values, augmented reality for interactive design adjustments, and a live Speckle viewer for instant feedback, highlighting a diverse use of software and interfaces for sustainable design.
