Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage between SIOPEN BIOPORTAL and RD-Connect GPAP via the EUPID Services

Prize: Prize/AwardPoster award

Description

The award-winning poster by Emanuel Sandner, together with AIT Digital Health expert Dieter Hayn, is entitled “Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage between the SIOPEN BIOPORTAL and the RD-Connect Genome Phenome Analysis Platform via the EUPID Services”. It presents an innovative method of linking clinical data from different platforms, such as biobanks and analysis centers, in a privacy-preserving way. This technology makes it possible to securely link sensitive patient data without jeopardizing patient privacy. Emanuel Sandner emphasizes: “Our work shows how important it is to develop data protection-friendly solutions that enable the linking of clinical data with biobanking data. In this way, we can advance research and protect patient privacy at the same time.”

Dieter Hayn was first author of the abstract, however Emanuel Sandner represented the publication and presented the poster at the conference. Therefore it was internally agreed to recognise him as the "award recepient".
