Abstract
Classical methods in renal function testing commonly lack either in accuracy (e.g. Creatinin Clearance) or in practicability (e.g. Constant Infusion Methods). To get better, cheaper and more stable results we introduce two alternative simulation models which base on short bolus injection of a marker (Inulin) into the veins. The transient changes of the marker concentration within the plasma are measured and fitted to some compartment models. Out of this, clinical relevant parameters are derived. Finally we present the results of a clinical study which proves our theoretical considerations.
