Abstract
Europeana is the largest cultural heritage (CH) digital platform in Europe supporting the digitization, access and reuse of cultural documents. Transcribathon is a tool that enables users to transcribe documents available in Europeana, however the engagement of users is depending on the thematic aggregation of content, e.g., memorabilia from First World War. We showcase that AI techniques such as topic modeling solutions, are a viable option to automatize the curation process of CH materials in Europeana.
