Abstract

The demand for ever-higher speed mobile communication is one of the main drivers of the telecommunication industry. One of the technologies that are capable of achieving high data rates is MIMO technology. By transmitting information on several channels, which are spatial separated, but equal in frequency, a multiple of today´s channel capacity can be achieved and new applications can be created. Software defined radio concepts are perfect to cope with the complexity of MIMO systems. The development platform presented in this paper will simplify the steps from a concept of a MIMO-Software Defined Radio to a product.
