Abstract

Presently, only few well documented experiences of installed small scale solar cooling plants are available. Therefore, the autonomous small-scale solar adsorption cooling system at the Municipality Department 34 of Vienna was equipped with 85 monitoring points and monitored by the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) from summer 2009 to 2011. In this paper, the experiences gained by system optimization based on monitoring evaluation and close co-operation with the facility manager as well as the system supplier are shown.
