Abstract

The introduction of hybrid automated fleets offers great potential for improving the mobility and transport system. This article highlights the essential dimensions and challenges that must be considered when integrating these technologies. The multidimensionality of the use cases – application scenario, vehicle category, level of automation, and assistance systems – plays a crucial role in designing a heterogeneous fleet and significantly influences its efficiency and safety.
