Abstract
Within a worldwide and European context this report provides a characterization of Austrian R&D activities in the field of AI over the past five years. Relevant AI research areas and actors are identified in systematic R&D databases by using a keyword search, and their networking and thematic orientation in the context of AI is characterized.
