Abstract

Daily measurement of parameters such as heart rate or blood pressure is essential for many cardiac patients and provides physicians with objective data to make treatment decisions. Home based monitoring programs and technologies are essential tools for early interventions in cardiac patients, preventing hospital admissions, increasing patients selfawareness and reinforcing selfmonitoring.
