Abstract

This article describes the parameterization process of a simple, dynamic single cell battery model for cell and system simulation. A commonly used battery model is parameterized using a numeric optimization method and a current pulse test cycle applied to a lithium ion polymer cell. The performance of the parameterized model is investigated and a reasonable simplification of the parameterization process is presented. Finally, both parameterizations are validated using a current profile gained from a real life driving cycle
