Abstract
We employ a high-sensitivity Geiger-mode detector to overcome power-splitting loss in PONs, demonstrating the acquisition of a drop-side acousto-optic signature behind a 1:32 power-splitter through a centralized DAS interrogator – without optical amplifier.
