Abstract
The "Austrian radiation protection law" (1) provides for companies with nuclear plants besides a Radiation Protection Officer a "Radiation protection supervising department" for surveillance of such plants. At the Austrian Research Center Seibersdorf a "Supervising department for radiation protection" was established, headed by the "Radiation Protection Officer" and charged with this surveillance tasks and responsible to the managment and the competent authority.
