Abstract

A novel implementation of the Gel Analysis System (GAS) with several improvements is presented. The main novelties are: a new module for coorrection of the smoothing image artifacts using the notch filter in Fourier domain, a new module of the image rectificatin which speeds up the calculations considerably, and a novel band detection operator based on the template approach which solves some crucial cases of band detection.
