    Abstract

    We prove the graceful migration to avalanche photodetection through reclaiming power that is available at transmitters. We demonstrate a sensitivity of −26 dBm for continuous/burst-mode 10 Gb/s/lane transmission, together with an extension to 32 data lanes.
