Abstract
Several groups have performed extensive measurements to determine the dose-response characteristics of their Elekta iViewGT amorphous silicon (a-Si) EPIDs in order to be able to perform 2D dosimetry. The detectors under investigation generally exhibited a non-linear response to radiation. Variations of EPID sensitivity with dose and dose rate respectively, (up to 10%) have been reported 1,2. The aim of this study was to investigate the variation of the dosimetric properties of several iViewGT EPIDs and to deduce a minimum number of measurements required for a complete dosimetric characterization of such devices.
